Air Fryer Chicken Wings Cooking Recipe in the air fryer is brilliant and you will be making chicken way more often if you try them in the air fryer. The forced circulating hot air makes the skin super crisp which is difficult to achieve in a conventional oven and the center is perfectly cooked, tender and juicy.
Fried chicken wings are delicious, but they make a big mess. These air fryer wings are super easy, and they're just as crunchy as the oil-fried kind. We're hooked!
This recipe is a great base for all kinds of wings. Of course, you can keep it classic with buffalo sauce, a side of blue cheese dressing, and some crunchy veggies. Or, if you wanna switch it up, try the sweet and spicy sauce from our Korean Fried Chicken, or keep it simple with Lemon Pepper Wings seasoning.
Pro tip: For the crispiest possible wings, pat your chicken completely dry with paper towels before seasoning. Even better, let your wings chill uncovered in the refrigerator for an hour or two before patting dry and seasoning.

The dry rub for these chicken wings is so simple with our go-to spices for baked, sautéed or air fried chicken. All you need is garlic salt and lemon pepper. Toss the wings in a little oil and the 2 seasonings, arrange them on the basket and bake right away. You can let them marinate if you prefer but there’s no need to pre-marinate. These Air Fried Chicken Wings have a crisp salty skin with a tender center. Pair them with fresh celery and avocado ranch to dip and let the snacking begin!
Place the wings in the fryer basket so they are not touching (if necessary to fit, line up the drumettes standing upright along the sides). Set the air fryer to 360 degrees F and cook for 12 minutes, then flip the wings with tongs and cook for 12 minutes more.

Monitor. Flip wings occasionally until well browned and the chicken's internal temperature reaches 165° F on an instant-read thermometer, 8-10 minutes.
Chicken wings take about 7-8 minutes to fry in 350 degree oil. You want to leave the wings in the oil until they are golden brown. Once they are golden, the meat will be cooked through as well.
